I'm looking to get the shark bar 3 for my 68 Vert ... wanted to know of anyone else who has a shark bar for there vette and how they like it?
Also, does anyone know if they are ready for sale (the 68+ VErt one??)
Thanks,
kosta
The Shark Bar 3 design for ‘68-‘75 convertibles is finished and is currently going into production. There will be 2 designs. The first will be without roll bar hoops and the other with roll bar hoops. The hoops will integrate into the bar but will not be legally functional. The hoops design will look very similar to the aftermarket seat hoops in C5 Vettes. The Shark Bar Series 3 ’68-’75 will be available within 2 weeks.
Speed direct will be offering a group purchase very soon. www.speeddirect.com

Does the shark bar offer any rigidity to the car? I don't know what it mounts to and was wondering if it had the same effect on the rear as a spreader bar has in the front.

All the Shark Bars tie into the sub-frame, which will increase the rigidity of the sub-frame of the Corvette. We had many comments about reduced t-top squeaks and rattles.
The Shark Bar Series 1 will fit nicely into a '74 Vette.
