Something for those that have or want original style sidepipes
I was looking around on summitracing.com and found this:
HED-68286
It looks like to me the perfect solution for putting headers on a car with the original 69 style side pipes. It seems to me like it would work better than having tube headers and making that near 180 degree bend into the sided pipes.

About the HED 68286 headers. These headers were intended to fit a straight plug 1968 or 1969 SB with the factory street sidepipes;i.e. the with the chrome plated aluminum covers.
Hedman also sells "68280" headers which appear to be the black painted steel versions of the "68286," the latter being ceramic coated steel. The 68280 costs about $180 and the 68286 costs about $380 (??).
Since, I was interested in fit, I bought the 68280. I wanted to put them on a ZZ4 engine. The ZZ4 has slant plugs, and as I understand it, the exhaust ports are about 0.1 inch higher than the older factory SB's. I was't sure these headers would fit.
When I installed my 68280's on a frame mounted ZZ4, everything fitted nicely. So, it appears that if you have either the straight plug or the angle plugs, the 68286's will fit. They are a good bargain. Paying extra for the ceramic is the way to go in my opinion.

I had those
As far as I'm concerned...I thought these were junk, very poor quality. Thin gauge flanges, poor welding and the coating comes off easily, dulls quickly after startup (no engine was not running rich or lean) and they're only coated on the inside and rust fairly quickly. I'd spend some more on a decent seet of headers if I wanted some next time.

Le Mans Master
A friend has these on his 73. They are painted versions and have performed great for years. I plan to use some in the future.
Yeah - not the ultimate in headers, but not $1000, either.
A good alternative to the 2" pipe from manifold to sidepipe.

I have them. I kind of wish I would have saved up and gotten the coated but I have heard it isnt that good and Twin Turbo just seconded that description. They are pretty good headers for the money.
