rubber, metal, or poly body mount cushions
Which should I use when I install the body back on my 71 vert ? Original was metal but I was thinking about using the poly.
I am using solid motor mounts due to the torque of the stroker engine and was thinking the poly would help isolate some of the vibration to the interior/body.

I have used poly on all of my suspension bushings. If I were to redo the body mounts I believe I would go with rubber to isolate the body from some of the noise. I believe Zwede has done the aluminum stock to rubber change. Maybe he will chime in on his experience with this.

You may not notice body roll but a question I have concerns about is.
What will this do to the body? With the body on rubber or poly would that allow enough deflection to cause stress at the bummper mountings. The bumpers are mounted directly to the body and frame and I dont think it would be very forgiveing haveing the body and frame moveing in seperate directions. Just trying to give you something to think about.

When I pulled the body in '75, the aluminum mounts were in 1000 pieces. The rubber mounts I put in are in great shape today, and if I were to pull the body, without reservation, I would use rubber.

thanks for all the Feedback, I am leaning toward
rubber right now. I am going to touch base with Zwede to get his recommendation.
thanks all for your help
