Shock Absorber Choices
I agree with Gary completely on this... The Reactec shocks available from Delco are an excellent choice and a real bargain as well. I've used these shocks on my 1969 convertible for several years now and am quite pleased with them.
You can go with Koni or Bilstein, but you won't notice any difference in street driving and you can count on paying three or four times as much.

Slight technicality - I don't think the Delco shocks sold by ZIP are the "Reactec" shocks. They are something similar, but different. You can distinguish by AC Delco part numbers, which I dont have in front of me at the moment. MJ

Reactec Shock Part Numbers
MJ,
The part numbers that I have for the Delco Reactec shocks that I purchased about two years ago are 22065207 (560-50) for the front and 22065208 (560-51) for the rear. I seem to remember that they were quite inexpensive when I purchased them, but that the price was increased recently (regardless, the price is still VERY reasonable).

Stan Falenski

Re: Reactec Shock Part Numbers (Rowdy Rat)
so... can I buy these shocks from a GM dealer or do I need to get them through ZIP. seems like buyng through GM dealer would save postage. I have a 72 Ragtop that needs shocks too.

First I need to get my (Lars) newly rebuilt carb & distributor back in the car. Looking forward to cruising again this weekend. :seeya
