I painted my car !!!!!
I paint the vette this week it took me about a month to sand the car smooth and shoot it. What do you think?

Man, that looks awesome. After being quoted $4-5,000 and 4-5 months yesterday for a paint job, yours gives me the itch to respray mine. Beautiful job.

No I didnt mean to paint the pipes they have since been painted flat black

Cool... In that side view picture, Did you use the can and brush that are on the step ladder, or did you use the spray cans that are on the table in the right side of the pic? ...

I had never painted anything B4 this except the freezer in the background on one of the pictures I have posted

I believe gel-coat is the material that is put in the fiberglass forms when the body panels are molded. I do not think anyone "gel-coats" the fiberglass before painting.

Hate to disagree,:smash: but I have been told by more than one person that it is a very good idea to have a vette "gel-coated" when painting to keep the cracks and webbing from reoccuring. And one of those people is someone that paints and restores corvettes here where I live. ;)
