My car is all #'s matching.....Except the Paint,,Should I go back to bright Yellow??
I am trying to get her completely correct but I like Red..Any thoughts?? Would it be worth more??

I actually like bright yellow on Vettes better than red. That's my opinion though. If you like red, keep it red until your actually thinking about selling it, then decide. Whether it gets repainted now or repainted later, it still would have to get repainted. So enjoy the color you prefer until then. The value only means anything if you're selling it.

Oh good golly YES! DO IT! Yellow is an absolutely AWESOME shark color! Plus it will enhance the marketability of your car. Might not change the price a whole lot, but it will allow that segment of the corvette population (like me) who insist that the exterior color match the trim tag consider your car. :jester DEFINATELY DO IT! Yellow is Great! :blueangel:

Is the value of the vette your only consideration? Think about this also...it will NEVER be the "original" paint. You can paint it yellow again, but if you parked it next to a vette with the "original" yellow yours will probably be different. Do what feels good. Numbers matching paint color would be more astetically correct, and yellow is a sporty color, but so is red...what about a yellow car with red flames? There's also a paint process which can create a transparent bluish tint to make it look like a cool methyl fire.

Whenever I'm traveling on the freeway and approaching Auto Dealerships, the first thing that grabs my attention is the Yellow vehicles. There maybe up to a dozen rows of autos and my eyes are drawn immediately to the Yellow ones. So, if you want to be noticed...Yellow will do the trick as far as I'm concerned. Oh yeah, I do like Yellow as much as I like Orange! Rick

72 Yellow, that car would change anyones mind about yellow and make you even want to paint your station wagon yellow LOL. As much as I like Red and Black given the fact that your car is a matchings numbers ride I would certainly give alot of consideration to going back yellow. Yellow is so cool you can have your cake and eat it too.
