More issues with the 77. I still don't have the engine bugs worked out and now this. Under hard acceleration, say punching it at 70 MPH, the car wants to jump to the left. Letting off the gas causes a wiggle to the right. I am not talking about a slight movement. This is more like a bull ride. This is what has been checked and cleared or replaced:
Trailing arm bushings
Wheel Bearings
Front control arm bushings
Leaf Spring
Steering Box
Steering Cylinder
PS Control Valve
That was number one on the checklist. I thought I had it licked when I found my right rear wheel bearing to be hosed, but replacing it has not solved the issue.
Keep looking at the rear, check differential side yoke end play, jack the car up and push the top of the wheel inward and see how much movement you have over 1/8-1/4" of play at the 6-12 o-clock position indicates excessive side yoke clearance to the differential cross shaft 9-3 o-clock position to check wheel bearing play that should be under 1/16" for wheel bearing clearance, do both checks. I think you will find your problems by doing this check

Thank you. I'll get it up in the air tomorrow morning.

He was talking about the shims that establish the rear tow setting. That shim stack should be tight, you shouldn't be able to add another of the thinnest of the shims into the existing stack (have a set of replacement shims on hand). If it has any clearance, your tow setting can change resulting in squirrelly handling.
I think I found the problem.. The control arm bushings have been replaced. The joker that did the work has 3 of 4 not pressed in correctly, resulting in a sloppy front end. I'll try to get some pics uploaded.
