I'm going on 11 years and I will probably NEVER be satisfied. That's the great thing about cars, there's always something new or better to try around the corner.

I have been working on my 68 since 1972 and totally restoring it from ground up since August 1995. I think I have maybe two years to go before it is back on the road and finished to my satisfaction. :chevy

I had my C5 Convertible 6sp for about 6 months. Great car but it had no character compared to my now 69 roadster. I have now had the car for 7 months. I am shooting to have my frame off resotration completed in a year. Right now I am on track as long as the funds hold out. Oh and I am now a expert on Ebay at selling goodie to pay for my Roadster project LOL.

Four years and well over $20K...still not finished, but VERY happy with what I have so far. Currently have Bilstein shocks ready to go on, redoing rear storage compartment lids, and numerous detail items.
Looking to add MSD billet distributor, aluminum heads, maybe a different exhaust system....
You'll never really be done, but in a year or two you can begin to enjoy it...maybe in a few years...

About 10 years. Non-high-tech income and .com investments. Took me some time. Other priorities took precedence. But I am close. :yesnod:

It is never done. I have had it about 6 years now and I always want it faster or find something else to do to it. For the most part it is the way I want it but there is always something around the corner :D

I've had my car for 8 or 9 years but I only really started working on it about 4 years ago. It's pretty much finished except for the little things.

It 's been 4 months and 2000$ spent. How long will I hold is the question.
The wish list never seem to end. I guess I am closer to the end today than yesterday. :D

I bought my 71 a little over a year ago. I started the current project in late December and believed it would be done by the end of May. Not even close! Then I started shooting for Labor Day. Wrong again. Every once in a while, I lose sight of my original dream for the car and it seems more trouble than it's worth. Then I back away for a few days or even weeks, and come back when I'm ready. I gave up on forecasting a completion date, but it'll eventually get done. My advice is to plan better than I did. Take it in steps and try to leave some time in between to enjoy it.
