Default What does your spouse think of the Vette?

My wife is terrified of my car. She's afraid to ride in it, but she does sometimes, yet alone drive it!
Sometimes I wish she would want to drive it, but usually I'm glad she doesn't :blueangel:

My wife LOVES our Corvette. She had wanted one all of her life and we finally got the '81. She doesn't like driving it though, and she doesn't like me driving it without her in it!!!

My wife really likes the car. Which is great. What burns me is, one of her friends comes over and always asks when THEIR car is gonna be ready.

There must be something else I need to fix. Yeah, thats the ticket.

Both my Wife's and my name are on the title. She likes to drive it during the day, but prefer's that I drive after dark. The only thing she doesn't like is that she complains that the hood is too looong and she can't get used to the quick ratio steering. :D

My wife drove our 2000 every day. Now we're waiting on a 2002. She is really missing it. She still likes riding in the 78, but will like it more when the A/C is in. She is afraid to drive it because she is afraid she will scratch it or damage it somehow. She knows how much time, effort, and money I have spent. :seeya

My wife LOVES the Vette, in fact, threatened to divorce me if I sold it. She is afraid to drive it but not because of power. She has a really hard time with the length of the nose and is afraid of bumping something. Aslo, she knows that I had wanted a Vette since I was 7 years old, and she considers it my car. She insisted that her name not even be on the title. She is not afraid of power because she has NO problem driving the 420 HP Z28, although she likes it better when I drive it because I like to make a little noise once in a while. ;)

Unfortunately, as with many other issues/topics/hobbies, my wife and I disagree about the Corvette too. She doesn't mind it being my hobby, but she has no interest in anything Corvette related.

It's not quite that she doesn't want to drive it. She's scared to try...

The clutch is pretty stiff and my wife is small. She's afraid she can't push it in. :D

I think my wife for the most part could care less about the car, it isn't her thing. She did say she'd rather drive it than my pickup, she is used to driving a sports car as her daily driver is a Mercedes SLK (which I could care less about.) She does complain about the mess in the garage while I'm in the middle of a project, so I'm doubling the size of my garage this fall, so I have a work shop.
The nice thing about her having it is that she has a very exaggerated since of fair play, and since she has a rather expensive sports car, she doesn't complain about the money I spend on my 'vette. I just wish I had more money to spend, period!

My wife loves the car, in fact, I was talking about trading it in on a C5, and she
said "I don't care if you get a C5, but the baby ( 74 C3) stays in the garage.

My wife loves the vette. We go to many corvette shows together and she really enjoys it. This weekend she even brought up the idea of trading in our Z28 for a C5 to keep the old '79 company in the garage. I think I created a corvette monster. :D

She loves it. She does not love all the time I spend working on it! She also enjoys her own Corvette. The license plate says "THIS IS NOT MY HUSBAND'S CAR"

That says it all

HA! As a matter of fact.....Yes I do and she's gorgeous, owned 2 stingrays when she was younger. She had pics taken with her '72 stingray after she won best body on the beach at O.C. two years in a row. She had a 77 first but was t-boned by a Mac DumpTruck  :smash:  :smash: She walked away from that one. Sold the 2nd ('72) because she was afraid she'd kill herself in it (got caught doing 130 mph in a 55)  She didn't even get a written warning...hmmmmm... wonder why? Of course that was then and now she's 33 and MARRIED....   Too bad....so :( :jester :clown Am I bad or what? :yesnod:  :yesnod:  :yesnod:
