Removing Door Handels??

Default Removing Door Handels??

Ok I was just wondering if anyone has ever put the electric door handel kit in there vet and just took out the door handel parts and fiberglassed over them? I have a 78 and i was looking into putting electric doors in mine but i wasnt sure. Any Advice?

You mean shaved doors. I thought it over and I think it's not very wise to do. If your battery dies you won't be able to open your doors, so you'd have to install a back-up battery or something like that. Besides that it would be a good thing to replace/clean the doorlatch and all other door parts to make sure it all works well. All in all (and I didn't even mention the repaint of the doors) I think it's a project only to do when you have done everything else :o

I wouldn't do it to my 74. Too many potential problems for a street car.
I admit that it looks very cool, when it works. JMHO
