I installed one on my Vette. It is very easy. You have to drill two holes in your door and then put in rubber squish gromets. The mirror mount screws into the rubber things. I think that I bought all the parts from Ecklers. It is nice to have two mirrors.

I have had the mirror & mount for over ten years and a template might give me the "kick" I need to install it!

I installed a right hand mirror on my '75 and found that it was pretty simple. I was originally going to take it to a bodyshop to get it installed because I didn't want to take any chances on screwing it up. But when I got the mirror and looked at the instructions and the template I found that it really wasn't going to be to difficult so I did it myself and it turned out to be pretty easy. Everything is done from the outside and it took me about an hour to do it because of all the extra measuring I did to make absolutely sure that the holes that I was going to drill was going to be in the right place.

Thanks. I thought about it but thought I would leave it until I pulled the door panel for one reason or another. Now I will order.
