Default Purchasing Comp. Cams Rocker Arms - Suggestions?

I am purchasing Comp. Cams #1411-16 Roller Tip Rocker Arms for my 1970 454. Is this a good move? What performance/advantage(s) should I expect?

Thanks in advance. See you in Carlisle.

I have the similar ones for a small block and have been very happy. they are more accurate ratio wise than stock arms. Your lift will be what the cam says and not less like with stock arms. A slight improvement in hp but probably not anything you will feel. They are much stronger than stock and you only need to go to a full roller rocker when spring pressure is over 350lbs. Usually roller cams need full roller rockers. these will be fine for your application.

Matt

Yes, 1.72. A little more lift as stock measure less than specs. & reduced valve guide wear.

Weather for your drive from Philly to Ohio will be dicey. I'd leave around 10am. We can put your roller tips on tonight. Won't be that tough on hydraulic lifters.

You're going to love em!! Like Ganey said the are 1.72 so you get a little more out of you cam. When I built my LS4 I went with those along with an XE268 cam w/lifters, springs retainers etc. The only suggestion I have is you will need to install new push rods as they mate with the rockers. I used the 3/8" moly push rods from Comp for use with guide plates (hardened shafts). With the rebuild the whole package made a very noticeable difference in in my 73.
