Question about 82 EGR valve.
My 82 was hesitating alittle bit on acceleration. I found a post that said to disconnect the EGR valve hose to see if the problem would go away. I did that and the car seems to be running great.
Can I just leave the EGR disconnected, plugged the hose and the EGR valve inlet. I had already previous removed the air pump.
Don't want to buy a new EGR valve if I don't have to.
TIA

Yes, you can leave it like it is.
The EGR port doesn't have to be blocked, it only operates the valve (the valve has a diaphragm and it's basically a vacuum servo)
