What's this 76 worth, and what do I look for when checking it out?
I recently made an interesting find. It's a 76 model vette 4 speed. A friend of mine checked it out. The car has 35,000 original miles on it, BUT it hasn't even been started in 10 years!!! So I am sure it would have to be considered as in not running condition. It's orange and the paint could be buffed to shine nicely, and the interior is in pretty good shape. I am not sure it it is the L82 or the L48. My friend did not notice an L-82 emblem on the hood. Any suggestions are appreciatted about how to treat the engine and especially as to what the car is worth. Thanks in advance!

Value depends on a lot of other things. You need to find out what eactly it is i.e. L82 or not. Whether it has the original engine. Chances are there are A LOT of things that are going to need to be replaced due to deterioration. Based on your short description, I wouldn't offer too much. It may be a diamond in the rough, but it's going to require a lot of work and cash to get it running and fix all the things that are going to go wrong with it in the first six months. I'd low ball 'em though

There is one for sale...In South Carolina for 3500 bucks.........But it needs work....It is not numbers matching but it is all there...U might want to consider the that car as well...............U could really turn it into a nice car pretty cheap..............If it has not been started in 10 years.......sounds like a lot of work as well
