say an impala with C3 badges
I must say that it was pretty cool looking black with big chrome wheels 3 inch (at the least) tail pipes
and right by the front fender the C3 flags
It was pretty cool seeing that I guess we're not forgotten

I was wondering if I remembered this right, didn't some of the early Impala SS's have their own crossed flags? I don't know, just have a vague memory of seeing them. :chevy

Re: say an impala with C3 badges (ZD75blue)
Back in 89 I bought a 67 Impala from a little ole lady. Fastback. Gold paint. No bull. 89k miles. 283 powerglide. When I first stuck the key in the car it fired right up on high idle. Punched it once and it dropped down. I was impressed. It was smooth. I could hear the whine of the powerglide. It sounded so sweet. I got it for $300. Only work it needed to pass insp was brake hoses and a headlight alignment. I had some 14" SS Chevelle wheels I put on it with 60 series radials. It was slung so low and long. The friggin radio was AM and only picked up oldies stataions. That car would wind to 60mph+ in first gear. I sold it for less than I paid for it. I come to find that the 67 Ipm body is #1 among the low rider crowd. It was a good solid body. The car was worth 10 times what I sold it for...at least. I kick myself in the foot sometimes. I got to admit , it was a cool car. I wish I still had it. :(

I'm pretty sure all of the early fuel injected Impala's had some cross flags on the fender. Just below them, it should have stated "fuel injection".

ZD, did you get a good look at the badges?
I was pretty sure that Chevy used the crossed flags on other models, so I searched the Web for <"61 Impala" AND flags> and found several later model Impalas using the "61 Impala Crossed Flags". This site http://www.impala.net/Members/Steve/index.html has a nice picture of them.
I wonder how many more models used the flags?
