How would you ship money?
I just sold a car, the guy wants to do it with cash :D
How can you ship large amounts of money? I know I read a thread on here at onetime you could do it with FEDEX, do they insure it?

Online transfer, programs like Paypal support electronic transfer.
Most banks should be able to do it, too. Have his bank contact your bank.
NEVER EVER ship larges amounts of greenback. That's bad juju waiting to happen.

Go to your bank and have them wire transfer the money. You need the persons bank account # and info. off his check. Your banker does this everyday. Do it by 9:00am and will be in his account by 1:00 pm.
I have done it several times.

I have some friends in Columbia who do this all the time. ;) Seriously, Unless you are trying to avoid disclosure of amounts over $10,000 (which is illegal) wire transfer. Name, account number, and bank routing number.

I wouldn't accept cash for a car transaction. Too many things can go wrong. Even if you sign for it, open the envelope and find nothing in it ... he has a return receipt stating you received it. You can be popped also if the Feds think you are trying to hide $$$$$$$$'s even if you aren't. A custom car builder accepted two different cash payments from a guy buying one of his cars. He made the cash deposits on different days, but the bank reported the cash transactions because they were so close together. He ended up being popped and ended up losing his business. Feds only have to make the claim to seize all your assets, it's up to you to prove it isn't drug money. Be cautious with this deal.

i have always demanded cash. he who hands over the cash gets the title. i never got a bad bill. and i keep proper records. Cash is LEGAL TENDER.
the cash is NEVER shipped. i hand it over to my bank and tell them i sold my car. that is not a suspicious transaction.

You could contact Brinks. They are in that business. I dont think Fedex is. I would never send cash in the mail or with a package delivery service. tried to wire US$$ to Canada which is not a complicated transaction but my local branch managed to screw it up bigtime!! MJ
