vinal t-tops
I have a pair of vinal t-tops that came with the car. they fit perf., but i don't think i'll ever use them. does anyone know what there worth.there in good condition, comes with storage bag. bag is good, but one strap is broken.tops have rubber whether strip to seal out rain, also they go on just like t-tops.

I never thought of that ;). Vinyl coating on a fibreglass t-top. I am sure someone on E-Bay would go for it :eek:. Call them Cabriolet or Opera tops!

For information. Get the tops for your year. My cat is pointing to the pin mounting for the 1978-82. Pre-1978 models using a different mounting system. This is true for all t-tops, of course.

If people go back into similar threads in that last two weeks or so, they will find that the Eckler-distributed product is the much maligned canvas/velcro version. Apparently these are not well liked. I was trying to make two points: 1) the sought-after version is that with the mounting hardware much like the t-tops (no velcro) and is vinyl not canvas, and 2) people should recognize that pre-1978 mounts are different from 1978-82. The latter is the reason that I found mine in WTB C3 Parts. He had a 1973 and they did not fit.

Basically all I'm looking for is something that would store compactly and could be used in an emergency for rain coverage.
I'd imagine the ecklers one works at least that well, but I guess I can't be sure.

I've have a set ('68-'77) for the "nothing fancy" '77 (used them yesterday and this AM) -- bought them on ebay for around $175.00 with shipping. I removed the connector to the little triangles and use an adjustable strap on the back across the interior. The '78-'82's use a pin in the back (like the regular t-tops)
I've since bought a second set listed as '78-'82, also off of ebay - I've sent the money will receive these in a couple of weeks. If I sell these I'd be asking around $175.00 to $200.00 plus shipping.
