I purchased my '75 with a non vette motor inside. Gosh, was it weak!!!
Since then, I have reemerged with a much better combo.
I wish my data plate could display what I'm currently running.
I guess I could scan the old plate, modify what it says, and have a sticker printed from kinko's or something, but I'm curious what you folks have to say...
Re: Anybody ever make a custom console data plate?? ('75 383 ElkGrove)
I bought a new shifter plate for my 71, and got a certificate from Trim Parts for a free data plate. They give you a list of all the stock combo's to choose from. The last item on the list is part number 5922, for a blank plate. I'm going to send it in and then if possible have a jeweler engrave the data for my ZZ502.
Re: Anybody ever make a custom console data plate?? ('75 383 ElkGrove)
I went to a plack maker, you know, for sports awards etc>>>>>
and he did a custom tag off his engraver, no sweat, 5 bucks or less....
did a new shifter plate too, custom design for the 700 conversion from a stick shift car....
Re: Anybody ever make a custom console data plate?? ('75 383 ElkGrove)
Where did you folks get the blank plates from??
I would really like to keep the original crossed flags emblem on it, and just change the engine data... I'm still waiting to get her to the track so I can get a HP and TQ numbers.
