Default SLP Loud Mouth Shotgun Resonators

So my buddy told me a lot of the fbody guys run long tube headers and then put the SLP Loud Mouth Shotgun Resonators behind then and that's all they have for their exhaust. Has anyone tried this on their vets? Good idea, stupid idea?

Mwahahha SLP Loud Mouth, I almost got that to put on my '95 Z28, before it got sent to the grave

The damn things are loud as hell and will set off car alarms at will. Probably not a good idea if there's a decible limit in your area. Good performance, though.

You do realize what a resonator is, right? It's just like a fat part in the pipe to make the sound resonate before it exits. No flow restriction at all.

Not sure how the hell the SLP Loudmouth is CA legal but it is.

you'll probably want to extend it to the back of the car, if you just use long tube headers, then put them baby's on withnothing else, you'll make yourself go deaf....

the point of them is to make everyone else deaf

Oh yeah, the shotguns just connect to the headers huh? Yeah, extend it to the back and put em back there.

Hell I just have open headers and it makes the whole cabin rumble...

Now I realize that there's no flow restriction so that's good for HP gains right? BUT I"m assuming I'll lose some back pressure? Or will I not if I run the to the back? Sorry, I'm still a newbie and my knowledge is still limited.

The use of back pressure to gain power, I believe, is known as scavenging. Someone will probably correct me, but yes some back pressure is usually good. A few bends here and there will usually provide enough back pressure.
