Default Patriot side pipe installation, rocker

Hello, I have a 72 vette and i am thinking of getting the patriot side pipes for it. I really don't want to notch the silver fiberglass rocker since they are orginal so i am thinking of taking them off. Has anyone done this before? Or have they just notched the rockers? If anyone has any pictures of side pipes without the silver rocker panels that would be nice to see. Thanks in advance.

I actually just cut one of the pipes to avoid cutting the trim. Looks the same and was easier to cut up some cheap set of pipes then the trim. [IMG][/IMG]

I'm doing a similar set-up and was wondering if you might have some pics of the under side of the car with the side pipes installed.
Thanks
