To anyone that has a pace car style spoiler, I'm thinking of putting one on my 79 and was curious how they attach? Obviously screws of some kind but is it screwed in from the top or the bottom?

The true indy pace car front spoiler is a three piece flexible type spoiler that is screwed into the lower and side part of the front section of fiberglass. The spoiler that I'm refering to in shown in my Avatar.
The rear spoiler has eight studs in it which stick through the body
and are secured with nuts from the bottom. I have 2 79s, one with
and one without, I much prefer the look of the one without so I hope
You just "think" about putting one on Your 79. Just My .02 cents
worth on that subject and it probably aint even worth that !

Mine came with one. It's getting ripped off & the holes plugged. Bubba job anyway.
My '79 has the rear spoiler as well. I like the looks of it better than the ones I see without one. But when I get around to painting, I think I will remove it and install an '81 rear piece that has the spoiler built in. Just my idea on this.

I really prefer the later 80-81 style where its built in to the bumper. Last year I had the bumper repaired and painted and thought about getting that newer style but like most things it was cost prohibitive. I figured this was a little easier and less expensive to do.
