lyonsh- Did you remove your bumpers before you started stripping?
Steve Straus- Steve I thought that the Daytone Yellow was more cream color than lemon color. Thanks for the info, I will check out. I wasn't going to change color when I was taking the vette to the paint shop for all the work. But now with me stripping I can afford a color change.

Paul: yes, we did. But remember on a 72 the bumpers are chrome. Also, we're doing a "body off" (I just can't bring myself to say "frame-off" when it's the body that comes off the frame) resto/rebuild, and have some body-work to do in the bumper area. So we would have had to take them off anyway.
Having said that, even if we were only stripping, we would have taken the bumpers off. On the chrome-bumper cars, the bumpers are mounted close to, but not contacting, the fiberglass body. So you need to take them off to be able to get at all the painted parts.
