Oil pan recomendation for 383?
Which oil pan(s) is good for a C3 (1980) with a 383? I'm trying to determine which model to get and if I should get a kicked-out pan as well.
Also, for a 450 or less horse motor: is a high volume or pressure pump an advantage or should I stick with a stock oil pump. Thanks for any advice.

All you will need is a stock pump with the HP Z-28 spring in it. Check the Melling catalogs. Unless you have clearances loosened up a bunch then a HV will help keep low speed oil pressure up.
These days I actually like the "stepped sump" pans where the bottom inch or so of pan is actually smaller. That way whatever oil is in the sump is actually deeper over the pickup rather than the kickout style that spreads that oil over a larger area and reduces the oil level. Ck the Milodon drag race pans....they come with windage tray already and mine works great even during braking and cornering even though it doesn't have all those whizbang trap doors and baffles.
