Bolts Stuck - I'm Stumped
Need suggestions (tricks) for removing the rear caliper bolts on my '80. I think they have NEVER been removed. Very froze and I've tried WD40.
After reefing on it for 20 minutes I nearly head-butted the rear quarter panel!!
I need help..

Put away the WD-40 - Go to your local auto parts store and get some of this. Then let it sit for about 20 min.

Advance Auto Parts stocks it in my area.

If your going to use an impact be careful of the angle. If your not dead on you can round the head in a blink. What works best for me is a 1/2 drive 5/8 sorta semi deep ball swivel socket.Snap-On #IPL20A I dont have many snap-on tools but this is a good one.I keep 3 on hand because I break them and wear them out but return them under warranty..I use it for most of the 5/8 bolts on the car.It seems to be perfect for the rear caliper bolts for all the complications you encounter getting a 1/2" impact in back there in the confined space.

I've posted the links too many times, a search for wd-40 or wd40 will turn them up. Long story short...WD-40 is a water dispersant...and a rust inhibitor...and a lubricant.
