Smog legal headers/manifolds?

I just called Hedman to find out about my 1980 Covette 350. Yes they have the CARB legal Headers WITH the CARB Welded on so no issue. The Part Number is #66301 (with Air Tubes). They come ceramic coated and non coated. They are for STRAIT PLUGS ONLY. They also have a 1-3/8 port size. If you have a different set of heads NOT stock they may not fit. I have a set of AFR Aluminum Heads and he thought they would not seal correctly. If you buy them take the manifold gasket out and compare with your head ports. If they don't fit correctly they will refund you the money minus a restocking fee IF they were not used. Good Luck Everyone !
I did a 450 hp mill a few years ago that has passed smog a few times since 2014.

Then great news for me.
Great news. I guess the Tech I talked to may have miss quoted me because I even wrote it down. I built a stroker 383 with a high lift short duration roller cam to avoid smog issues and have passed the last 20 years as well. I will buy the Hedman's then if it worked for you. Thanks for the advise. You saved my bacon. I didn't want to re-install my factory ones again.

The l98s arent worth the change, some even use LT1s or Dougs LT1 shortie which has a carb # on it but again youre taking a big chance.
They have tightened up so bad on smog techs its about impossible to get someone to pass it through, not worth the 1-200 to risk putting food on the table anymore.
Sometimes its just best to find a local smog ref who can look up the fine print, some local shops may not know for sure and fail you. once its in the system as a fail youre f'd. Had an 80s vehicle which failed and had "gross polluter" status, had to smog it at a test only every year.

Here you go. I was looking for a pair for my 1980 Corvette and found these for a 1982.

Anyone know where I can get new exhaust manifolds or headers that are smog legal for my '82 vette? It has to have A.I.R. connections. I know McJacks has some but I'm wondering who else carries them.

The LT1 manifolds are way better than the L98....Dougs makes a Carb legal shortie. Doesnt mean it will pass but...
bet the stock LT manifolds will if you do a clean job fitting the pipes
