Gain from 1.5 to 1.6 roller rocker change in GM 350 HO?
I have an '80 with a GM 350 HO (330 HP) crate engine with Dynomax headers under the hood attached to the rebuilt BW Super T-10 4-speed. I really like the engine and performance (0-speeding ticket in no time). BUT, like all the rest of you C3 addicts in this CF, I am always thinking of the next improvement.
While I was putting on new ball milled valve covers, I thought about changing the stock 1.5 rockers to 1.6 roller rockers. It looks like a fairly straight forward job and doesn't cost much compared to Steeroids, front mono-spring, trailing arm rebuild with half-shaft and rotor replacement, etc.
How much difference would 1.6 roller rockers make over stock 1.5 rockers without a cam change?
If that mod makes sense, what roller rockers do you recommend?
What technical gotcha's should I watch for if I decided to install 1.6 rollers?
