The tech from AFR said it would support it too. I was going to use the super t-10 for a year, but that sounds like a mistake, more ramen noodles to save for a TKO!!!!!!!!!!! What would the reccomendation for main bearing size...........400????????????? I really appreciate your guys input, Thanks!
4340 crank 2.45, cast crank 2.65. nascar engines run 500 to 600 mile
races at 8900 RPM with small mains and small rod journals. I'm
sure they have at least a 4340 crank or maybe billet but your street
car will be ok with 2.45 mains.

I have the 350 main 427 ci (4 inch stroker) standard deck Motown and an extra 350 main 415 ci (3.875 stroker) rotating kit.

The 350 main cranks are a couple of pounds lighter and the saddle/main caps are thicker. So for higher HP I would use the smaller 350 main size.

I'm not sure why anybody would go with the lower ci 3.875 when the cost is the same. I did not want to reduce my 427 ci on my last rebuild because of my Wiseco 415 pistons had the same 20 cc dish which would lower my compression even more. I think that you will find that all the 415 rotating kits are lower compression

I am going to look at a brand new 4340 Eagle crank 4 in. stroke, 400 mains this Friday, not alot of pistons to choose from to keep it on pump gas but Mahle makes one, dished -20cc that puts me at 10.5:1 with 64cc heads

Sorry about the hijack alnukem, it is a good thread though

I put an Eagle 4340 in my build. Mahle pistons too. They measured within .0002. Weight out of the box was within .5+ or -. Nice pistons. Got my crank from AMS in Louisiana. Eagle forging, machined by AMS, lightened, knife edged, 1830 bobweight, Less than $500 shipped. Nice crank. Check on the Callies Comp Star H beam stroker rods. Cleared everything and the Specs were perfect. That is what that 714 HP 406 was running up to 8100 RPM. Mine will be done next week! Dyno results to come.

Sorry for bringing a dead thread back to life after a decade, but I finally finished my build & in the sake of providing information for people searching for results, I am providing them, as there wasn't much info when I was looking.

Basic Build;

4.125" Dart SHP Block with 350 Mains
AFR 195 Eliminator Competition 75cc Heads with heat crossover
Callies Compstar 3.875" Crank
Scat 6" Pro Mod Rods with ARP 2000 bolts
530/530 @ 230/238 with a 112 lobe Hydraulic Roller(It was actually spec'd for a 396 SBC)
Weiand Stealth Dual Plane that was Exude-a-Honed to match the Ports
Barry Grant 650 CFM Mechanical Secondary Carb
Moroso Stroker Pan

Not a lot of Machining of the Pan rails with these rods.

On the Engine Dyno, the results are

560 Peak HP @ 5900
583 Peak Torque @ 4500

Ought to be a good street Engine, which is what I was going for. I know the Cam is too small, but it was paid for! Thanks!

It depends on how fast you want to spin it.
