do you think front and rear sway bars are worth the money?

Yes. They keep, in easy terms, things even and all four wheels on the ground at the same time even when cornering.

Yes, but go on the small size for the rear. I put a stock BB 9/16" rear sway bar on my 76 and it is plenty. Oh yeah, I'm running a 1" up front.

A rear sway bar isn't usually necessary and tends to negate the independent rear suspension on the C3 corvette. If you insist on one in the rear, make it small. Go 1-1 1/4 " up front though.
