I am looking at a 73 Vette. It is red. With a pretty nice paint job. The front bumper has a 2 1/2" crack down the middle. All New interior except the dash, but the dash doesn't have any cracks and very slightly faded. Here's the kicker: It has a LT1 in it with 50,000 miles. Runs Great.

Can yall help me with this. Plz.

How do you know it has a LT1 in it. Don't take there word for it. What is the overall condition of the car. Brakes, suspension drive trainand things like that

Is it a coupe? 4 speed or auto? Did you look at common problem areas that can be expensive to fix (such as windshield frame rot and frame rot by the rear kick-ups) ? Also, it that a new style LT1, or the old style LT-1?

It had a new rearend put in it about 5 monthes ago. The overall condition is between good and great. It has the new style LT-1. I think from 95. Looks like a clean engine. Has the original 4-speed trans.

Got a problem. There was no LT1 in ' 73. Might have had a LT1 hood added as they look good. LT1's were in 70.71,72 years. Not in '73.

Does the LT1 engine have 50k miles, or the car? I would hope that a car with only 50k miles would have the original motor.

What's the asking price? and what's good to great? Is it great from 10 feet or 1 foot?

it has 95 LT1. The same motor as in a 1995 Corvette. They took the old one out and put in the new one. The car has 130k and the motor has 50k. It looks Great from 1 foot, except for i believe it has body puddy on the driver side by the side mirror. Its hard to see, but if you get in the light just right then you can see a reflection.

How does it run? I would imagine it is pretty quick. My dad's old 95 LT-1 ran a 14.0 with a high geared rear end. Plus with the 92-96 LT-1, you get well over 20 MPG. The 95 motor also won't have the optispark problems that the earlier LT-1's had. Does the installation look clean? Some pics would be very helpful. Also, is the interior in good shape? Everything works? If it really looks and drives nice, I would easily offer 10K.

It runs great. I don't have access to any pics. The install of the new motor was done good. I don't know what it does in the quarter because the guy that owned it before didn't drive it like that. He was in his 60s and drove it as an every day care. The interior is new.
They are wanting 11.5k

At a 130k I would take it to someone and have them check the frame for rust, suspension parts, tranny and brakes before paying $11.5.

Sonds like a pretty good deal. NOT GREAT .I bet it is very quick with a 95 LT-! engine...Of course it would not be worth as much without the original drivetrain
