What is the output on an MSD Blaster 2 Coil?

What is the output on an MSD Blaster 2 Coil?
None of t he catologues seem to list the rating. Thanks. Is there a bigger output coil out there which is also arc resistant ?

According to the MSD catalog:
Primary resistance: .7 ohms
Secondary resistance: 4.7k ohms
Maximum voltage: 45,000 volts
Tested with an MSD 6AL at the plug gap.
ALL manufacturers will tell you that the coil has to be a part of a matched set with the ignition module of an HEI to perform at it's best.

In theory coils can put out the claimed high voltages. Some of the coils today with modern super magnets etc. are way above coils of just 5+ years ago. I would purchase one of the new designs because they have faster charge times and create less heat.
One of the biggest things that will help out any ignition system is to use the largest size wires for both + & - that you can. I use 12 & 14 gauge to my blaster 2 coil and Crane MSD. So you never get a brown out condition or worry about if your getting enough amps. The stock C-3 wiring was designed for low amp alternators/filament bulbs/HEI They never though about people putting things under their hoods that could be used to kill bugs out on the patio.
