Default Is this gonna hurt?? Look at my pic's

just got my intake today. The ports are horrible. Weiand used to
make there intakes with small peanut ports. Now thay almost match
the large oval ports. But they are so out of round

Will this hurt performance??
Should I gasket port them??
Does it matter??
These are going on a 454 with large oval ports.
Should I just leave them alone??

This is a tech question!!

You can tell some ports are a little larger than others. Edelbrock makes perfect
ports on there intakes, But the weiand, I think is better in design minus the port area.

As posted ,I would blend those intake ports to the heads via the gasket as a template.

This was a tech response.

Now that's worth publicizing. Kudos to Jegs.

Default Wow!

That's some serious core shift! Makes you wonder how many others are out there.. Be great to get one as a second (read cheap), and then port match the heck out of it. Rest of it looks OK, but it must be just as bad inside...

Misread op. You have the manifold for bb engine with oval ports. Those do not look too good. I have a sb stealth, ports are rectangular.
