Did a touch over 130 on a reallllllllllly looooooooong back round down here in south jersey! Went to show a buddy of mine the road and decided to join him! The funny thing is he chickened outand only did 120, but will do this at 120.....

Years ago my bro got my '69 got up to about 145. His ***** are bigger than mine. Just a cam in a rebuilt engine.

I know that many have gone faster, but sharks start lifting real bad at those speeds.

Unless we are talkiing about the bike?

He really should purchase a decent set of leathers. Good leathers saved my life earlier this year when a very large animal appeared in front of me in the road. However, I am still recovering from the accident.

did a smichg over 160 on my honda on the freeway and over 130 in my vette the other day...i feel the need for speed quite often :mad :mad :mad :mad

Did 150 in my 63 XKE against a C4 (C4 topped at 130) from 100 stromp down.

We were on the salt flats between Nevada and Salt Lake.

In the Pony Experss II Open Road Race in Battle Mountain NV, last year, I ran 55 (of the 85 miles) @ 155 to 172 MPH with the top down, in my '99 Z28.
Shark should be on the road in a few weeks, I'll keep you posted

hm.. well i dont know how accurate my speedo actually is, but i was runnin a drop top 69 Chevelle 396 (coulda been bigger, no time to stop and read the badge) down the backroads of colchester ct. lets just say i buried the 160.. I'd say i was doin a good 140-145. but I'll tell you what that was the scariest and dumbest thing I've ever done... if a deer had only came out then, I'd probably be dead

Did 148 MPH once but the car was lifting so bad I shut down. Still has some pedal but only slowly increasing speed. FYI :D :cheers: :D

156 mph in my brothers 70 454 vette. I havent had mine over 130 as of yet.

Where in South Jersey did you do this. You have bigger ones than me. I have topped out at about 115. Top speed is only about 125 with 4.11 gears anyway. Not in it for top speed it is getting there that counts. To much crap can happen on the road.

Well, the speedometer was at the peg the whole time, but by going off the tach, 132 mph. It could have gone much faster, but the TH700R4 has a lockout which prevents the use of overdrive at full throttle, so at 4200 rpm in third gear with the convertor locked, I was limited to 132 mph. Of course this will all change when the Richmond six speed finds its way in.

138 with the lights up and the windows down (my ears were ringing all night) @ 5100 or so RPM. Can't push it any further without some mods.

Grodonm, im not sure of the name of the road or town it is in, but its near my school which is in Pomona, near Atlantic City. Its off of exit 44 and then way out back in the woods.

Im usually not a top speed freak, but was trying to show my buddy the road, so i went along for the cruise...hehe a cruise at 130
