I have finally got together all the parts for my power steering which was missing when I got the car. Below is my system.
For the altenator belt to clear the power steering pump, the pump will have to be adjusted quite far out putting the pump dipstick under the altenator where it can't be checked. Does this sound the norm or have I got something setup wrong.
Maybe someone could put on a picture of their system?
Thanks
I've had to shim my PS mounts out away from the block to get access to the cap and to straighten the path for the belt.
Check your belt alignment, make sure it's staright or you'll be throwin' belts all the time.
I used the Bubba method for now, stacks of washers between the mount and block, but Summit has some nice billet PS and alt mounts that adjust 3/4" fore and aft that look like the real answer.
Thanks for the replies folks, without reference from anyone else I would have sworn something was out-o-wack. With the mention of shimming the mount out, seems to me I 've seen that before and may try that.
Thanks to all for help again.
