Just dial in a ton of negative camber when you get to the track.
5 inch on the front?

I'm rubbing the sway bar with 4 inch right now

I'd rather flare it

can I tell you a secret?? promise not to tell anyone?? OK!! don`t tell anyone but extending your spindle or running a longer ball joint is a bunch of BS...my ball joints are standard Corvette right out of a MOOG box, my spindles haven`t been welded on and I run a factory size front sway bar..... remember you promised!! ...redvetracr

I know your combination now Except the front spring rates

But did you fix your bump steer? Did you modify your center link? Or just drop the outer tie-road.

Sixxpacker is that you

I Just want to drive the car right now. Then upgrade more later.

I'm also going to get another rear spring

I'll probably finish the front end. Guldstrand bushings and fix the bumpsteer. The gauge is 180 dollars though. Group purchase anyone? We can spread it around the corvette forum like the wheel stud fixture. After I use it first of course.

won`t the stock car guys loan you the gauges?? all you would need is a flat plate to bolt to your front hub...you know my front & rear spring rates?? a fellow named Tony Delorenzo had my springs made.....ever hear of him??

Nope only how many leafs your rear has. I'm assuming around 300#

I don't think they have a gauge. They didn't build their cars.

ebaring, electric bearing?

the more backspace you can get, the bigger tire and wheel you can get under there. I don't want 10" fender flairs.

you won't rub on the track. You will never crank the wheel over that hard other than going to the corner store to get cigs and ****.

The more backspace you have the less you have to flair.

P.S. Please keep irritating redvetracr. We'll get all of his secrets eventually.

That does not fit the parameters given. He has a better chance of lunar orbit in a F-14.
When you get down to it, a C-6 is a C-3 updated.
It would be cheaper to turn a C-6 into a C-3 , than to turn a C-3 into a C-6.

several guys here in OZ have done and are doing just that....

but using C1 and C2 bodies as they are more exclusive and justify the additional cost.
There's a '58 with a C5 chassis running a 502 big block I saw at the Melbourne 2004 Corvette convention,
and there's a 63 split window being mated to a ZO6 platform being built currently. An LS7 427 alloy small block is being fitted to that project.... Builder is also considering a S/C for a bit of additional boost for good measure. That car should be ready for next year's 2008 Aust Corvette convention in Adelaide.

It's the ONLY way to get modern driveability with the nostalgic beauty of early muscle cars. Crickey, even the latest offerings from GM and Ford, there so-called retro muscle cars... would be tame in comparison.

cheers

tom

The greenwood cars went very fast, but were racing machines. If you want an F50, just buy one.

I totally disagree with the above....I pulled 150 once with my top and windows down, the car was still pulling like a bandit, and lots to go, the front end was stable....by comparo to SOME cars, i'ts pretty much stock as a stove too...suspension wise....got 480-550? lbs springs in there with urethane bushings, but that' no big deal....I do have 17" Z rated rubber though or would never try that....I MAY have 375 hp outta that 355 engine with large TPI, maybe....but I was only about 1/2 throttle I feel the engine may have been putting out about 200 hp or so....

I only have about 240 HP. I drove 120 MPH once, and had plenty of throttle left. Car drove steady and true, but when I started thinking about a flat tire, I was done for the day., back to 65.
