How can I change Muncie oil?
I searched in 1972 Shop manual but I can't find how to drain (or suck) the oil from the tranny and replace it.
I just replaced rear axle oil sucking it with a giant syringe, I would do the same on Muncie but can't find the plug :-)
thanks

As I recall from my '67 ragtop 4 speed days, a filler hole with pipe plug should be on trans passenger side, approx half way up the side.
There also should be a boss for a drain plug on the bottom of the passenger side of the trans. I had drilled and tapped the boss for a small ( 1/4 or 3/8") pipe plug, although I think I had the trans out when I did it. It might be possible to do it with the trans in the car, but I honestly do not remember.
Perhaps someone else will jump in with a more current advise.

Usually you can pull the bottom bolt on the tailhousing and it will drain out there. Not perfect.....but it will get a lot of it eventually. Needs to be warmed up..or let it sit for a week or so draining!
