I have a 75 L-82 and the front and rear suspension in all new (except for rag joint which looks fine and did not replace steering box). I also have 4 new tires (225/70TR15, Yokohama AVID ST) inflated to 30 psi. I'm unhappy with the way the car handles above 65 MPH and steering really gets nervous if I hit somewhat bumpy road at speeds above 65 mph. I had the tires aligned tow weeks ago and I'm thinking this may be part of the problem. The computer printout of the alignment is attached below --- take a look.
The front camber is positive (tires lean away from car) and I'm thinking maybe this is a problem. Also a greater toe in on the front tires perhaps might help --- I think. The rear tires are towed in too much but I was afraid to have this tire shop fool with that can of worms. Any suggestions on how I might change the wheel alignment to imporve the stability of the steering at higher speeds.
Also, I decided to replace the KYB shocks that came with the grant touring package from VBP will Bilsteins. The KYB shocks are worse than the old Delco's I too off the car when I did ths syspension rebuild last fall.
