LT1 change over
I posted this in engine mods but didnt get any replies so ill try here. Im putting 96 LT1 in my 78 vette but dont have all the things i need yet so i was wondering whats involved in changing the LT1 over to carb & hei for now untill i gather up the rest of the things i need any help would be great thanks, Dale

You're not gonna be able to just slap the parts on and drive. The LT1's distributor is dreaded Opti thing out on top of the water pump. also, the water system is backwards. You'd have to find an LT1 specific manifold, TBI or TPI brackets and accessories, an electric water pump, distributor, and some time.
