Engine casting date question
I'm looking at a '73 L82 4spd. All my numbers are matching but I'm having trouble with the eng casting date.
There's a little oval area where the raised numbers usually are. I can definitely see a 73 or 72 at the end, but there seems to be a C or an O before that, which doesn't make sense. Maybe thats the foundry mark that looks like a screw?
Farther up to the left is a T or an I, but it's not right next to these numbers. Geez these are hard to read! Are they sometimes this far apart or can they wear off????
Block casting # is correct, pad in front of valve cover is correct, and manifold is correct with date also.
Any ideas, thanks in advance.

Letter is for month of casting IE: A=Jan, B=Feb There should be a casting date back at the passenger side of the bellhousing mounting flange. If the Vette is a nice one, just buy it and enjoy drving it!
