The only benefit to floating pins is ease and repeatability of disassembly. Pressed pins can go through 1, maybe 2 at the outside cycles of installation, floating - unlimited. The risk of losing spiralocs outweighs the above unless you're regularly tearing down the engine - i.e., racing.

This is another one of those race-only parts that some people feel they must have for the street. Anyone that's found a pin lock in the pan during teardown can attest to this
