Default T-top trim

how do you remove the front trim on the T-top of a 79 any advise would be helpful. need to repaint

Check you can buy some replacement first. If it's the chrome/stainless strip then AFAIK it's almost impossible to buy. (Or at least that's what I was told by the paint shop.) If it's rubber then I don't know.

You probably won't get the metal trim off without destroying it.

When I painted my 79 I wound up doing a very careful masking job on the edging. If it's black you can buy new edging.

yeah me too. if its the trim AROUND the T-Top itself mask it off and paint away!

If memory serves, it's glued in place and might have a small trim screw in it in a couple of places. Check the AIM.

I'm with the others: don't remove the trim if you don't have to.
