Replacing a 700R4 Tailshaft housing question
Hi all..
I have a 700R4 that I would like to change the tailshaft housing,
Is these easy to do? the trans is setup w/mechanical speedo..
Is it just as simple as removinf speedo parts and the 4 bolts
holding the housing on?

Take out the speedometer driven gear, remove the 4 bolts and pull it off. Just be careful not to mess up the seal. Why do you want to change it?

Putting a 700R4 in my 78' and the tailshaft housing is the Z28 style..
I should be able to swap it for the vette style right?
