You may need to define "best".
Best performance at low rpm/high rpm?
Street/Track?
Fuel consumption?
Airflow numbers?
You should probably state what usage you are looking for in regards to operating the vehicle.

Do they [edelbrock rpm ] make one for the spreadbore? I have had pretty good luck with the wieand 8004 for street low rpm. If they are squarebore you will need an adapter for the rpm manifold.

Both the rpm and the air gap require a drop base air cleaner to fit under the hood, so if you have a stock dual snorkle cold air intake system, you loose more performance than you gain. Also, the rpm air gap will not work with a Quardajet, so there you have two strikes against it. If you are looking for normal (low rpm) street driving, the regular Performer is your best bet; fits under the hood with stock breather and carb. God bless, Sensei
