Possible - Yes. Realistic - Probably not. If you want it completely clean you probably need to drop the tank. If you need it completely clean...

And you would probably get much better answers on a Nova forum, FWIW.

Do you have a bottom drain? Or a bottom fuel sending unit hole? If so, then yeah, it's quite easy. I've done mine and I last did a couple of months ago. Just make sure you dry it well. Of course my 68 has a big hole on top where I can put a hose in there and wash it all out.

I guess from bad quality fuel and time without use and recycling of fuel... Fact is that debris blowed two Bosch electric pumps and the tube connecting the tank to the pump was full of dirt.

yep, there is a bottom drain of good diameter...

Wash the tank with white vinegar.......vintage motorcycle trick.......fill it as much as you can and let it sit 24 hours. Drain and stare in amazement.
