Hi
And if you want to know 100 % exact for sure, jack the car up so that both rear wheels are off the ground. Put the gear in Neutral and turn the drive shaft by hand. Mark the wheels and once, ea wheel has done 1 full turn, remember the turns the drive shaft had to turn.
This will be the exact ratio.
3,7 turns = 3.70 rear end, 4.1 turn = 4.11 ratio etc.
The best way to assure . All others are some guessing.

You have to remove the skid plate from the bottom of the housing. Get the car high enough, and slide under the car looking right up at the diff housing. Just forward of the spring mount, you'll see the code, by looking straight up at the diff with your back on the ground.
You'll want some brake cleaner, a rag, and a metal bristle tooth brush to clean off any grime.

If you go to http://www.keislerauto.com/speed_analyzers.php?sa=gm_5 you can play with the analyzer to see what you have. Be sure to plug in your current tire size and then play with the other settings.
