About all I can tell you is the stock hoses from your junkyard tear out will most likely work fine,....but depending on your specifics with steering, and pumps....you maybe have to use a hardware store 3/8 compression fitting from like the plumbing dept...it works fine, even made from brass....no need go industrial on it....

it's what I did, working 3? years now, the rack been in there with that technique for 6 years now, all of it street driven daily...

you want spend tons of bux for fancy hoses, by my guest....

Im spending the bux on the fancy Aeroquip stuff. By not using the Hydratech turn-key kit, Im saving enough to make this install semi-affordable. I'll probably have $360-$380 total if all goes well. Thats about my limit of pain for this install, but if it does as advertised, I'll be more than happy.

If you have any pics of your routing, Id be interested in that.

I'm about to start this same headache. Are you going to be using a cooler?

Im sticking with my original pump and no cooler. If you do use a cooler, use the type that offers ZERO flow resistance-backpressure, so you dont impede any fluid flow.

Seems the place to put the cooler is in the return line coming from the HB unit to the T connection, and not in line with the rack return.

Seems to me though if you did use the cooler type that you can see directly through, it should not impede flow at all, so you could put it in the return line of both rack and HB, right befire the pump return.

If my pump goes south and it seems the lines are getting hot, then Ill do a cooler.

Appreciate it. Looks like you did the Aeroquip hoses as well. I like the look.

Did you find the R&P inlet fittings were the same as the OEM power steering fitting?

Best Regards, Brent...

I'm using the same hydroboost and steeroids setup.

The high pressure line from the hydroboost goes to an 18mm x 1.5 O-ring fitting on the in side of the rack. The out side of the rack uses the existing steeroids fitting (16mm x 1.5 O-ring) and hose back to the pump. This hose is also where you add the T piece for the hydroboost return.

I plan on two separate return lines, so I am not using a T on the return line. I have AN adapters for the rack & using SS PTFE tubing. My main question is, do I use a 45degree or 90 degree fitting on the pressure input of the steeroids? Thanks for your input.
