OK,
Toolpusher, how many of you know what this position is?
No it's not anything to do with porno!
I supervise the drilling operations on a Deepwater Drillship, that maintains position by satilite (DGPS) while drilling for oil/gas,
(oil and gas to keep our Vettes running!)
it's pretty interesting stuff now days, our ship has drilled in water depths as deep as 7,250', Others drillships have drilled in water depths as deep as 10,000 + ft.

Jelly jar safety seal tester ;)

Its something how many (real) engineers we have here. Me too. Chemical.

Sorry guys, but even though these days I am a Network "engineer" , engineering doesn't have anything to do with a lot of the fields I see attached with that moniker.
Amen, and is it right to call a person an Engineer if they didn't earn an Engineering degree? I busted my **** and EARNED a 3.9/4.0 after 152 credit hours and still work along side people with the same title that never set foot inside a college classroom... go figure.

Wow, what a variety we have here!

I'm a mathematician, and (Lord help me!) must be receiving my Ph.D. degree in May. What exactly I do? I teach and do research--the main result of my doctoral work being the proof of rationality and explicit calculation of the Hilbert-Kunz functions of a wide variety of polynomials, through the introduction of new concepts such as p-Fractals and triple resultants. ARGH!

-Pedro
Well that explains why you were having so much trouble with the intricate chambered exhaust system and sway bar bolts. There's no rational thought amoung C-3 owners!

Is that what they call New Math?

Started out as a Team Leader for the S/W development of Main Battle Tank Fire Control Systems (as in guns - not fire extinguishers!!). That was FUN. The money was bad though, so I moved into data comms & after 10 years hard slog we all got made redundant (just after the 4 directors had given themselves one of the biggest bonuses in British history. I'm not sore about it. Honest).
Am now a founder member of a small company that designs Multiplexers for WAN links & I do the S/W side of things.
Our product works very well with Routers.... & guess which poor mug gets to do the Router installations? This is NOT fun.

Project Manager is the title they give to us non-engineering majors who have experience in the engineering field :D  And yes, we're doing our part to help keep the Chesapeake Bay a little less carcinogenic :yesnod:

But, in my dreams I'm a professional musician and part time male **** star

I'm a Help Desk and Project Manager. Basically, I manage a support group for telephony products w/in IBM and other corps. I'm also responsible for putting out a lot of those annoying voice response systems that deny you the chance to talk to a live human when calling a company. Sorry, but it pays the bills.
