Rivets to use when replacing seatbelt reinforcement plate
I'm replacing the seatbelt reinforcement plates on the underside of my 73 vert. I noticed you can buy the factory aluminium rivets. My car isn't close to stock, so I'm not worries about keeping it as the factory made it, so what's the best option? What's easier and what's stronger? Factory aluminium rivets, or pop rivets? Stainless or aluminuim pop rivets?
I didn't really think about this until after I had drilled out the old rivets... and searching didn't bring up too much.
What do you guys think?
Cheers

The main purpose of riveting it in place is to speed the assembly process. If you are not concerned with originality, just use the large diameter head aluminum pop rivets (1/2"-5/8"), with the head against the fiberglass.

Heavy-duty pop-rivets should work just fine. Select for proper material thickness of your parts stack.
