Default Anyone used these Mr Gasket micro electric fuel pumps?

http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-12S-.../dp/B000BWCERY

Says they are good for 4-7 PSI, 35 GPH. I'm wondering if this would work on my 79 w/383. I know the PSI is good, but is 35 GPH too low? I don't track the car much so I don't run WOT constantly.

Any thoughts?

Haha. You'd be suprised. 10MPG when cruising and waaaaay less on the gas. But I'm still hoping 35 would be enough.

The numbers are fine but I would doubt it's longevity. I would hate to buy and replace one of those every year because it wasn't built for anything but making that company some extra money. They sell that at Autozone too, in the section with all the gaudy chrome stuff.

Willing to bet it's 35GPH free flowing, dropping off dramatically when it actually has to overcome a restriction (pressure) ???

40+ Gph? But, being a diaphragm pump it's positive displacement, not so for an electric (non gerotor or vane) pump

Default Mr G Fuel Pump

I sold a few of those pumps to some street rod guys when I worked at Redline Automotive and everyone of them stopped working in less than a week. Installer error or faulty part? I'm not sure but I don't want one. If you want an electric pump buy a good one or buy a new pair of shoes.(for walking)
