I am working off of a 77 Corvette electrical diagram but it should be very similar to the 76.
Do you have power windows? The plug right of the IGN fuse supplies voltage to gauges, it also supplies the voltage to the power window relay coil.
At the PW and ACCY fuse just right of that is another plug if equipped with PW, that plug is the 30 amp circuit switch side for the PW relay.

I’m not sure what the cover looks like for the 1976 model but I found this on e-bay. I have a couple copies of the 1977 Chevrolet model service manuals and a copy of the electrical troubleshooting manual. Also order the 1976 assembly manual, this is a good guide as how your car was put together at the factory (Priceless) most vendors have the Assembly manual. Find the PW window relay and unplug each window switch and check if it still blows the fuse. Then plug in one side at a time. I bet its in one of your switches.
Service Manual: E-bay #190233159870

fuse block
hi! on my 76 there is a circuit breaker in that space. i think it is located directly under the round one. my owners manuel shows a pic of the fuse panel but doesn't label them.i believe it to be power window related.good luck.oh! by the way i am trying to reinstall my fuse panel back to the firewall, and believe me this is as hard as it gets.istill have not been able to get it installed.

My new 1979 L82
I'm the proud owner of a 1979 L82 Corvette and I love it. One problem, I have a fuse that keeps blowing that freeds the power door locks, interior lights, radio and power antenna. I need a wiring diagram that shows the wiring for the power locks and antenna. Could anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks!
Thanks!
