Default 1970 corvette wheels

I'm looking at replacing the wheels with rally wheels as when I bought mine it didn't come with them. I want to run 15x8 on the front like I have now, but wanted to go with 15x10 on the back.

What backspacing am I looking for on the 15x8 and 15x10 that they will come to the edge of the fender without sticking out? Or how is this calculated so I can figure out the backspacing needed. I'm sure the actual width of the tire also comes into play. Just need a place to start. I know JEGS sells some rally wheel replica's with differing backspacing. Just wanted to get the right ones.

do a search on trailing arms and backspacing on this forum. There are guys on here running the big wheels like you mention but they have spacer and trailing arm mods as well. Usually 2" trailing arm and at least 1/2" to 2 1/2" spacers.
